The _Notification Center_ notifies users of the status of long-running jobs in Hyperscience. It is visible to all users and accessible by clicking the bell icon in the upper-right corner of application pages.

The system sends notifications for Potential Layout Jobs, Single Layout Import, Bulk Layout Import, Release Import, and Field Locator Model training.

## Supported Notifications

Notifications provide status updates on the following asynchronous tasks in the system:

- Layout import

- Single layout import ( _In Progress, Successful, Failed_)

- Bulk layout import ( _In Progress, Successful, Failed_)

- Release import ( _In Progress, Successful, Failed_)

- Layout Triage Clustering jobs ( _Scheduled, In Progress, Queued on the Trainer, Previewable, Successful, Failed, Cancelled_)

## Viewing notifications

A red dot next to the bell will inform you when there is a new item or status update to view. The number shown lets you know how many updates have been added to the Notification Center.

When you click on the **Notification** button, you will see the name of the notification and its status.

After you have viewed notifications, they appear in the **Read** section of the Notification Center, which is hidden by default. To view it, click on the **Read** section heading.

Notifications are removed from the Notification Center 30 days after their creation date.
