# Viewing & Editing Restrictions

## Viewing document restrictions

To view all document restrictions, go to **Users** **> Task Restrictions**, and a table with all of the restrictions will appear. To see the restriction details of a document, click on a Restriction Name in the table.

## Editing document restrictions

To edit a given restriction, navigate to the details view and click on the **Edit** button in the upper right. From there, you can edit the layouts or permission groups by following the steps outlined in [Defining Task Restrictions](https://help.hyperscience.ai/v41/docs/defining-task-restrictions).

- Note that editing a restriction will only impact pages matched to the layout in the future, and will not impact any in-progress submissions.

For users with restriction editing permissions, the **Manage Restrictions** link provides the ability to edit the restrictions applied to that particular layout.
