Folder Listener

Overview

Our Universal Folder Listener is an enhanced version of the Folder Listener. We recommend using that Input Block instead of the Folder Listener, as the Folder Listener will be deprecated in a future version of Hyperscience. The Folder Listener allows you to ingest files from a folder in your system.

The Folder Listener is available only for on-premise / private cloud instances of Hyperscience.

Block settings table

In addition to the settings outlined below, you can also configure the settings described in Universal Integration Block Settings.

| Name | Required? | Description | | Folder To Scan For Submissions | Yes | The container folder the connector will scan for image files. This path has the format /var/www/forms/forms/input/, where is the name or path of the folder being scanned.
Note that any files placed directly in are not processed. To ensure submissions are created from your files, put them in a subfolder of (e.g., /var/www/forms/forms/input//). | | File Extensions | Yes | A comma-separated list of the extensions that image files will need to have to be eligible for processing. | | Enable Metadata | No | Indicates whether metadata can be added to submissions during processing. | | Poll Interval | No | The frequency at which the connector will monitor the base folder for submissions. This value is measured in seconds.
Defaults to 10. | | Warm-Up Interval | No | The number of seconds that a file must remain unmodified before it is eligible for processing.
Defaults to 15. | | Folder Cleanup Delay | No | The frequency at which the connector will delete empty batch folders from the base folder. This value is measured in seconds.
Defaults to 86400 (24 hours). |
