Archiving and Restoring Releases

Archiving and Restoring Releases

To prevent your Release Library from becoming cluttered, consider archiving old or unused releases. Unlike deletion, archiving is a non-permanent action. Once an archived release is restored from the archive, it can be used without restriction.

Before attempting to archive or restore releases, it is important to understand which releases cannot be archived and what you can and can’t do with archived releases.

If a release is uploaded with a UUID that matches a currently archived release, the release will be restored so it is accessible in the Release Library.

Archive a release

  1. Go to Library > Releases, and click on the name of the release you would like to archive.
  2. Click Actions, and then click Archive.

View archived releases

  1. Go to Library > Releases.
  2. Click Actions, and then click View archive.

Restore an archived release

  1. Follow the steps in View archived releases above.
  2. Click the Restore icon for the release you would like to restore.
    • Alternatively, click on the release’s name, and click Restore.
